Expanding Empathy

BLYTHEWOOD – At the beginning of each school year, students new to Lake Carolina Upper Campus participate in disability sensitivity training. During the training organized by school counselor Jessica Skinner, each student rotates through volunteer-run stations that simulate various disabilities and classroom teachers follow up with discussions.
